ShockNot™ Shoe Inserts
Here's just a few of the things people and individuals have been saying about
ShockNot™ Shoe Inserts:
The Gonstead Clinic of Chiropractic is proud to give your inserts a full recommendation for use by the general public. As you are aware our staff and member firms currently utilize your line of inserts. Our Clinic also recommends them at our technology seminars which are presented to the entire chiropractic community. It is our pleasure to endorse your firm's efforts in taking these inserts to the mass merchant channels.
For over 10 years, our clinic has used and recommended the use of your inserts for short leg, spinal balance, pelvic shirt, rotation, weight transfer and energy absorption. Until your technology was introduced to our clinic, lifts were made of hard materials. They consisted of cork, hard rubber, or fiber products. These products increase the weight bearing on the side of use, thus increasing the pressure and shock trauma to that side.
Before your invention, our clinic had seen hip degeneration, heel spurs, knee pains and traction spurs of the spine resulting from prolonged insert use. Since your new shock absorbing material was introduced over 12 years ago they have alleviated the micro trauma to the body. Yet they supply the needed lift and support the spine and pelvis need. We have seen the reduction of spinal, hip and leg trauma with the use of your product.
Probably, the most glaring tribute to your product is the fact that we have never received a complaint or request for a refund in all these years of selling your products. We encourage your expansion knowing that your product can benefit millions of people suffering from lower extremity trauma, sore feet, spurs of the spine, hip and knee pain.
Sincerely,
W. Alex Cox, D.C.
An interview with a Valued Customer:
How do you like the ShockNots?
"As a podiatrist, the main purpose of using the ShockNot Insoles has been when I order my custom orthotics. I do not order the custom orthotics with a top cover. I used to always order a top cover but have found that it limits the different types and styles of shoe that patients can wear. They also wear off relatively rapidly and they have to be replaced and glued on. Instead what I am doing is ordering the orthotics without top covers and saving a little at that end. Then I am putting the ShockNot Insole on top of that because it is a viscoelastic polymer and has little suction cups that keeps the insert in place. These inserts do not slip on the orthotic and since we are not using glue it allows the patient more versatility in the style or type of shoe that the patient wants to wear. For example, if the patient is wearing a running or a walking shoe they can put the ShockNot on the orthotic or if they are wearing a dress shoe then they wear the orthotic without the insole. So it has become a terrific removable top cover for the orthotics. Another good thing about them is, unlike the top covers that we normally glue onto orthotics, the ShockNots will last a lot longer. And when it does wear out we do not have to scrape the glue off and go through all that work. All one needs to do is simply put another ShockNot on the orthotic.
Patients find the ShockNots very comfortable. It's a very comfortable polymer, this material is not too stiff and not too hard. It appears to be just the right durometer for patients comfort. So we get a lot better use with orthotics, a lot better compliance with orthotics by being able to have an orthotic that can be used in all shoes with this removable insert. This has been the biggest value for the ShockNots for me.
Do you have any Patients that you use the ShockNots that do not have custom orthotics?
"Yes, people who need a little extra cushion. It is a really good quality insole. Patients who are Diabetic where there is a need for a soft tissue supplement. This material has a consistency very similar to skin. Probably, one of the best shock absorbers on the market today. It is much better than Spenco in my opinion because the Spenco brand unfortunately bottoms out too quickly. Poron is another material that could be an option, which is marketed as a soft tissue supplement, but Poron crumbles away in time. The ShockNot material is more durable than either one of those; it does not crumble away, does not bottom out and gives a very high level of comfort."

Thank you for the opportunity to view the shoe inserts that you provided. I am very impressed with the quality of the inserts and have several people trying these out as we speak.
The initial reaction to the inserts had been one of immediate "satisfaction." From an injury prevention perspective, I believe that this is one of the best products I have seen on the market.
From a marketing viewpoint, I have already approached the Buyers for this department and have asked that they seriously review your products and consider the marketability and profitability aspects. (This process will take a period of at least 30 days from the time that they receive information on your company and their products).
I look forward to visiting with you in the next few weeks.
Sincerely,

I am writing this letter to thank you for introducing myself and especially the FAST organization to the ShockNot shoe inserts. Being fortunate in my profession to have coached Elite, Olympians, and professional athletes on more than one occasion foot problems have prevailed to interfere. I have never seen a foot product with the ShockNots energy absorption qualities. I think this product will help eliminate most of the foot and lower leg injuries that many athletes incur.
In addition, the ShockNots will also help in the recuperation process of my athletes that have already suffered injuries. Once again, thank you for introducing your much needed technology to the runner's market.
Sincerely,
Coach Bruce Frankie

One of my patients who is an elite soccer player came in with a broken sesamoid. This bone is located on the plantar surface under the big toe. I had originally fitted him with a Breg removable high walker. This product is designed to stabilize the foot and ankle.
He returned after two weeks and was still experiencing significant pain. At that point I placed one of the ShockNot inserts in his cast and he walked out of my office pain free. After a week he returned for a follow up visit and proclaimed that he was ready to begin practicing soccer again. When I removed the walker with the Shock Not insert the patient still had the same difficulty walking.
The ShockNot inserts are so shock absorbent that my patient believed that he was ready to practice again before he was fully healed. That being said, I personally believe that the ShockNot inserts will have many positive applications for my patients with injuries to their lower extremities.

I just wanted to write a brief letter to tell you that the ShockNot product is great. I have been wearing them personally for over a month and my feet feel terrific. As you know our shop started to carry them and the pass through selling to our members has been good.
The little display demo kit has really helped us introduce your comfort inserts to our members. We have heard less complaining and feel that this will open up more sign-ups for lessons because the members will enjoy golfing more often.
Good luck as you expand!
Sincerely,

Dear People,
I was given a surprise 82nd birthday part in March 2000 and received many gifts of flowers sent from California, Texas, Washington State, Canada. Most of the guests were from Florida and Northward. I for one am not house bound but have difficulty walking. My greatest surprise was receiving ShockNot inserts that came thought the mail from whom I do not know. It has taken me all this time to run this down and none of my friends admit they did send it. Not only I cannot thank anyone for it so I am thanking you people for manufacturing such a wonderful product.
Where do you sell this product and about how much does it cost? I would be very happy to buy this product if it is not too costly. I have worn so many different kinds of inserts but none are as comfortable as ShockNots.
Please, please let me hear from you as soon as possible. I would appreciate it very, very much.
Thank you again for producing such an excellent product.
Sincerely Yours,
Juliette Brenner
I just wanted to let you know how wonderful your ShockNot inserts really are. I've tested them and I know. I'm a member of the 285-Wildland Team. We fight forest fires locally and within the state. Each year we do the required Forest Service Pack Test. We carry a 45 pound pack on our back and hike 3 miles. At high altitude we must complete the test without jogging or running in under 45 minutes. Last year I had a time of just over 43 minutes. My feet fell asleep in the process. And I got blisters and sore feet.
This year I tried ShockNot inserts. I replaced the name brand foam inserts with ShockNot inserts, in the same pair of shoes I used last year. The results were remarkable. I finished the test in under 41 minutes. A reduction of over 2 minutes! My feet did not fall asleep. I had no blisters; in fact my feet weren't even sore! I can't say enough about your incredible inserts.
Thank You,
